The Space:
Set in the quiet village of Mouri, just minutes from Kournas Lake, this two-storey villa offers a stay shaped by open views, natural surroundings, and easy indoor-outdoor living. The villa spans approximately 110 m² and is designed to make the most of its setting. From the garden and private pool area to the upper-floor terrace, you’re surrounded by views of the countryside, the lake, and even the sea in the distance.
The living area is bright and comfortable, with large openings that bring in natural light and connect directly to the outdoor spaces. The kitchen and dining area are fully equipped and arranged as part of the same open layout, making it easy to cook, gather, and move naturally between spaces.
The villa accommodates up to 6 guests across three bedrooms: one bedroom with a double bed on the ground floor, and two bedrooms upstairs - one double and one twin. A bathroom with shower is located on the ground floor, with an additional bathroom with shower upstairs.
Outside, the experience continues across the private garden and pool area. The swimming pool sits at the center, surrounded by sun loungers and open space, while shaded outdoor dining areas provide a setting for meals throughout the day. The garden includes local trees such as olive, lemon, and orange, adding both shade and a connection to the landscape. Balconies and the upper terrace offer wide views across the landscape.

The villa is located in Mouri, a small village just above Kournas Lake, in the Apokoronas region of western Crete. Set between the White Mountains and the northern coastline, the area combines greenery, open views, and easy access to both lake and sea. It’s a quiet residential setting, ideal for those looking to unwind while still staying within reach of key destinations.
Kournas Lake is just a 5-minute walk from the house. As the only natural freshwater lake in Crete and part of a protected NATURA 2000 area, it offers a unique setting for swimming, pedal boating, and lakeside walks. Along the shore, you’ll find tavernas, cafés, and spots to sit by the water. For everyday needs, the area of Kavros, just a short 5-minute drive away, offers supermarkets, shops, and additional dining options.
For beach days, Georgioupolis Beach is about a 5 minute drive away, with a long sandy shoreline and shallow waters, ideal for swimming and water sports. Kavros Beach, around 5 minutes by car, offers a more organized setting with facilities. Peristeras Beach, also about a 5 minute drive, is a quieter stretch with a mix of sand and pebbles.
