Our self-contained guest-(tiny)-house is very private and tucked away from of our residence. We live in the rainforest of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area so there are lots of special animals in the vicinity.
🛌 INDOORS
The bedroom consist of a comfortable queen bed and a futon sofa bed. We only allow 1 additional guest (for example if you are travelling with a child) on request. The space is generally designed for 2 people. Air-con will keep you cool.
The kitchenette has an induction cooktop, microwave, full fridge/freezer, kettle & toaster.
🌴OUTDOORS
Enjoy your morning coffee on the private deck whilst listening to the birdsong and watch the pademelons come by in the late afternoon while having a BBQ.
🚘GETTING AROUND
We are only a short 5 min drive or 30 min walk to the Kuranda village centre.
★The accommodation is perfect for a couple, all the amenities you could need and it was spotless. The bird watching deck was lovely to sit with a glass of wine and birdwatch when the sun came out. I can’t recommend this place enough ★
Due to its size, the space is perfect for couples or adventurous lone travellers. It is surrounded by beautiful, manicured gardens.
(NOTE: The tiny home is on the same block as our residence so you may have visits from a small, friendly dog)
Please be aware that this is a rainforest experience. There will be insects, bats, noisy birdlife & rainforest creatures in the night. If you`re lucky you`ll meet our resident (wild) cassowary which is not to be fed or approached.
You have your own parking space. It is advisable to hire a car in FNQ, public transport is very limited.
We are surrounded by precious native wildlife and our property is not fenced, therefore please:
- do not feed the wildlife
- pets are not allowed
- respect the cassowary and keep your distance, especially when he has chicks with him
Other things to note:
No visitors allowed
No smoking on the property
Please turn off A/C when you are not home
Please open bathroom window when showering
No use of hair dye, colour or other staining products permitted
If required there is a Laundromat in Kuranda town
