About this apartment rental
"Casa Morello" is an apartment in a large villa with a total of four units. We’re new to Vrbo, but we’re also rated 9.2 on a major platform with a blue logo—if you’d like to compare ;)
The property features a pool, a spacious garden, and a wood-fired oven where we host regular pizza nights with our guests. There’s a grill area—you’ll be spoiled for choice between a professional commercial grill and a BBQ grill—and there’s a deep fryer and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen by the pool. You can pick fresh salad greens right from our own vegetable garden.
The house is situated on a hill and stays pleasantly cool even in the summer—with a breathtaking view of the sea. It was built in 1978 by my grandparents and holds great sentimental value for our family.
We offer the perfect blend of nature, relaxation, and the Italian dolce vita. You can book various additional activities with us, such as:
- Classes on making homemade pasta and pizza
-Aperitivo by the pool
-Yoga & meditation
-Foot reflexology massages
-Italian lessons
and much more.
My name is Micaela, and I live with my partner Jan Philipp from Berlin, our two dogs “Zoe” and “Samira,” and our two cats “Luna” and “Gaia” in one of the apartments at “Casa Morello.”
I lived in Germany for almost five years and then decided to leave the German cold behind and return to my warm southern Italian roots.
I studied languages and naturopathy. My family has been in the restaurant business for three generations, and I also ran a restaurant in Germany, where I rediscovered my passion for Italian cuisine.
I love to cook and make fresh pasta myself—it’s especially wonderful now that we can use vegetables straight from our own garden.
My partner and I love good food, a glass of wine, and the sweet Italian life.
I’m also a yoga instructor and an Italian teacher for native German and English speakers.
If you’d like, you can enjoy relaxing yoga sessions right in the garden or fun and effective Italian lessons.

The villa is located in Priscopio, a small hamlet of Zambrone, surrounded by olive groves, vegetable gardens, and vineyards.
There you’ll find good local restaurants, a post office, a pharmacy, a bar, small grocery stores, and a charming little church in the village square.
Casa Morello is just a 5-minute drive from Marina di Zambrone and very close to other beautiful beaches such as Parghelia, Marinella, and Formicoli.
The house is surrounded by lush greenery, and the area is very quiet—ideal for families. At the same time, towns like Pizzo (25 minutes), Tropea (15 minutes), or Capo Vaticano (40 minutes) are just a few kilometers away, where you’ll find restaurants, nightlife, and plenty of other activities.
From Zambrone or Tropea, you can also take boat trips to the beautiful Aeolian Islands. The surrounding area offers hiking trails as well as organized boat and trekking tours.
A visit to the Sila National Park, about two hours away, is also highly recommended.
On clear days, you can even see Stromboli and the Aeolian Islands right from your balcony.
The nearby beaches also offer many recreational activities, such as pedal boating, bike rentals, jet skiing, kayaking, surfing, paragliding, and much more.
We recommend traveling by car or renting a car at the Lamezia Terme Airport so you can comfortably explore the region’s many culinary and cultural attractions.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
As is customary in many Italian municipalities, the tourist tax must be paid upon arrival. The tax is €2.00 per person per day. Children under 16 are exempt from the tourist tax, and it is also waived starting on the 15th night.
Casa Morello does not allow parties or noisy groups. You can be sure you’ll have a peaceful vacation.
