About this house rental
Welcome to Domaine Lilas, an authentic 140m² stone house in the heart of a medieval village in the Lot region, with a private pool and garden for ten people. Fireplace, exposed beams, generous proportions: the soul of the Quercy region at your fingertips. Equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, barbecue. The ideal starting point for exploring the Lot Valley and the Cahors vineyards with family or friends.
The Space:
Domaine Lilas is spread over three levels in a former stone building, where the original proportions have been preserved: massive beams, a stone fireplace, and flagstone floors in a living room with a barn-like ceiling. It feels like a family home, not a holiday rental.
The kitchen, separate from the living room, is fully equipped for large-scale cooking: hob, oven, dishwasher, and coffee maker. The two spaces flow seamlessly into one another for shared evening meals.
The five bedrooms are divided between the first floor and the attic, each offering a different atmosphere: original parquet flooring and dark beams on the first floor, and spectacular exposed beams and light parquet flooring under the eaves. There are three bedrooms with queen-size beds, one double bedroom, and a large family room that can accommodate four people. Two bathrooms serve all the bedrooms: one with a bathtub, the other with a walk-in shower.
Outside, the private swimming pool is surrounded by a stone terrace with sun loungers and garden furniture. A covered area with a barbecue invites you to extend your evenings.
Please note: the municipal tennis court and pétanque court are located nearby.
Guest Access:
The entire property is private. You will have full access to the villa, the garden, the swimming pool, the outdoor furniture, the barbecue, as well as a private parking space (1 spot in front of the villa) and several additional parking spaces just a few meters from the property. Check-in is fully self-service.
The Neighborhood:
Saint-Martin-le-Redon is a small medieval village in the Lot department, bordering Lot-et-Garonne. The property occupies a central position—just steps from the Romanesque church and the Gothic tower of Mescalpres, emblems of the local heritage. From the property, the view extends to the fortified castle of Bonaguil, one of the best-preserved medieval fortresses in southwest France, accessible by car in less than ten minutes. The village of Puy-l'Évêque, perched on its rocky spur above the Lot River, is about fifteen kilometers away: its golden stone streets, its Friday market renowned for Quercy produce, and its Cahors appellation winemakers make it an essential stop in the valley.
The region abounds with day-trip destinations: Cahors and its medieval Valentré bridge, 45 km away; the fortified town of Monflanquin, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, 22 km away; and the Château de Biron in the Dordogne, 18 km away. The area is ideally explored by bicycle on the Lot Valley cycle route, or on foot along the hiking trails that wind through vineyards and scrubland.
