About this cottage rental
This 3+-acre, 4-season property is nestled into idyllic Hen Cove on the Harpswell peninsula, with ready access to all of the attractions that have drawn families, nature lovers, and artists to the area for centuries.
Set in a wide clearing, the Cottage sleeps 8 across two separate bedrooms: A sunlit, private primary bedroom on the main floor; and an open bunk room on the second floor, filled with two bunk beds, a queen-bed, and the echos of untold bedtime antics among siblings and cousins.
The open-plan first floor has a newly renovated kitchen with a gas stove, Chemex and Nespresso coffee makers, dishwasher, and full-size fridge: All of the amenities to accommodate a traditional lobster dinner or other vacation fare. A screened porch with additional seating is a popular spot for afternoon naps or evening reading.
The boathouse offers another room for relaxing or working, and Adirondack chairs and hammocks dot the property as well. Cook dinner on the gas grill and cap it off by gathering around the fire pit for s'mores.
The private, deep-water dock gives direct access to the Hen Cove, whose protected waters make it an ideal launching spot for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding.
Brunswick, home to Bowdoin, is just 15 minutes away and brims with all the cultural offerings, restaurants, and shopping typical of a thriving college town. Dozens of local trails and preserves give vacationers an opportunity to explore more of Harpswell’s beautiful public spaces and rugged coastline.
Please note any interests or requests in your reservation and we can coordinate as needed. Our goal is to make this as peaceful a destination for your family as it has been for ours.
