Casas do Arrais

This is a lovely property near the coast of Caniçal. We chose to stay here due to its close location to the PR8 trail and this worked great for going to see the beautiful sunrise there! The property was very clean, equipped with everything we needed and had a lovely view from the balcony. The staff were very helpful and had great communication, even helping reunite us with a power bank we left behind!

Piccolo appartamento molto curato e pulito, vicino a tutti i servizi e con un bel terrazzo con divanetti dove potersi gustare una birra la sera.

Era tutto perfetto, forse il prezzo un pochino alto e il letto alla francese (prediligo il matrimoniale classico per dimensioni).

L'emplacement est très bien, en plein centre de Canical. Le logement était top, avec une belle vue.

Il y avait des travaux dans la chambre juste à côté, c'était très bruyant la journée. J'aurai voulu être prévenu avant.

The apartment was very clean, modern, quiet, and extremely well equipped. It honestly felt like the owners had thought about almost everything a guest might need for a comfortable stay. There was enough space, everything was in good condition, and the apartment felt cozy and practical at the same time. We especially liked the large balcony - it was spacious and pleasant to use. The location was also very convenient: the area was calm and peaceful, and there is a small shop on the ground floor, which made it very easy to buy basic things without going far. Self check-in was another positive point. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, so the arrival process was simple, comfortable, and completely stress-free. Overall, the apartment was a great place to relax and a very good base for exploring Madeira by car.

There was nothing serious that we didn’t like. Overall, everything was very good, and the comments below are only small suggestions rather than real complaints. For a longer stay, a washing machine would make the apartment almost perfect. We managed fine without it, but it would be a very useful addition, especially for guests staying several days or travelling around Madeira. Also, the hooks or hangers in the shower could perhaps be fixed more securely. They seemed not to hold very well when several heavier towels were hanging on them, so this could be improved a little. Apart from these small details, we were very happy with the apartment.
