Seafront Family home with Ground floor bedroom

The property had lovely views of the sea. The beds were comfortable. There was a good selection of pots, pans and utensils.

We arrived slightly earlier than planned and, seeing someone at the property, asked the cleaner if there was any chance of an early check-in. She explained she was almost finished and that someone was due to take photos at 3pm, so we were told we could enter at 3:30pm. We thanked her and left. When we returned at 3:30pm, we were greeted by a very rude lady leaving in her car, who said, “You do realise check-in was 4pm?” She also said the cleaner had felt under pressure. We were shocked by the way we were spoken to, particularly as we had only returned at the time we had been told. The PIN I had received didn’t work, so I called the same lady. Due to poor reception, she could hear me but I couldn’t hear her, and she repeatedly said “hello” in a very rude manner. She eventually gave me the correct PIN, although her manner remained unpleasant. Once connected to the Wi-Fi, I received the original PIN, which had been sent at 4am that morning. The property wasn’t dirty, but it could have been cleaner. There was a spill on a kitchen cupboard, dirt in the corners of the kitchen floor, bits on one of the bedroom carpets, and an open packet of biscuits left in a hallway basket. Overall, the property itself was adequate, but the unnecessarily rude welcome and communication was not a nice start to our stay.
