    I switched to this hotel after my first one had a stale cigarette smoke smell permeating the "non-smoking" room. Wanokaede's entire building is non-smoking, so there were no unwanted smells, and the room was spotless. Things I liked: * Staff: They spoke excellent English, and were timely in their responses to online messages. I accidentally left some cash in the room when I checked out (d'oh), and they helped locate it and held it for me to pick up a few days later, for which I was really grateful. * Location: relatively close to Shinjuku-Sanchome and Shinjuku stations, with combinis and a small grocery store within a few minutes' walk, but away from the noise of Kabukicho. * Room: the room was a decent size, and even had a full Japanese-style bathroom, including fan & heater options for the shower that were useful for drying laundry. Things that could have been better: * The towels were a bit thin * No luggage rack, so there wasn't really a convenient place for my suitcase * Very little counter space in the bathroom for toiletries etc.

    Love the location. Easy to access all of Shinjuku and Tokyo. Room is basic for the price but very clean. Staff were lovely. I’d recommend nicer items in the room including nicer towels for the price.
