The Mayfield Suite -Modern Two Bed Apartment

The 2 bedroom flat was ideal for a short stay - it was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space to cook, if required, and dining for 4 people with a dishwasher and washing machine which is very useful for longer stays. The rooms were simply decorated and uncluttered which was fine and suited us. The beds were comfortable and the bedlinen good. The bathroom was modern and clean. There was welcoming coffee and tea sachets - good for a brief stay. The flat is close (walking distance) to local amenities - shops, takeaways and small supermarket and has good access to the main over ground station to provide fast access into London. It was good to have an off road parking space to be able to leave a car and travel by foot or public transport.

The Booking.com ad advised access to a garden was possible but this was an overgrown mess and not inviting. The flat sleeps up to 4 people but the good sized living space only had 1 sofa for 2 people rather than comfortable seating for 4. The second bedroom had a double bed but it was a tight fit, albeit a comfortable bed, but with no hanging space or drawers. Minor comments would be a little more hanging space in the bathroom for towels etc and set down space for toiletries. Also the kitchen could have done with additional minor accessories eg a plate drying rack, another tea towel for drying up (if not using the dish washer) and a hand towel to help keep the kitchen clear and tidy during the stay. The boiler had been turned off so when we turned up we had no hot water for showers until advised by the booking agent that we had to turn it on. It should have been ready for us. But overall these are minor negative comments and would be easy to fix for future guests and didn't detract too much from our stay.

Easy using a key lock system.

The host has not refunded my deposit. It has been over 6 weeks I am chasing and escalating. No damage has been caused, The deposit is higher than the fee for the stay, but still no refund. Poor communication regarding this.

Proche de la gare (5 minutes à pieds) avec accès direct à Londres et à ses métros. Logement moderne intérieur et très propre, très lumineux. Lits confortables. Draps, oreillers et serviettes fournis. Douche spacieuse. Taille du logement parfaite pour 3 personnes. La voiture n'a pas bougé du séjour.

Sol pas droit, table instable et penchée. Pieds de chaises non vissés malgré demande par message car pas outillés. Jamais eu les balles du babyfoot malgré x relances (dommage, ce détail nous avait séduit lors de la location). Booking.com pas assez réactif pour les messages. Douche bouchée, solutionné au bout de 3 jours (mais fait quand même). Pas d'extérieur, ni de balcon (fumeur : il faut descendre pour aller dehors à côté de la voiture). Pas de clim (mais un ventilo à disposition). Pas de poignée extérieure à la porte (ne pas oublier les clés si vous sortez). Pas de volets ni rideaux occultants. Voie de chemin de fer qui passe du côté des chambres (réveillés par le jour, très tôt ou par le train très fréquent). Manque d'ustensiles (une toute petite casserole, une toute petite poêle, un tout petit plat à gratin). Certaines fenêtres ne ferment pas complètement (voilées ?).

Beds were comfortable and the location was great, right by the train. The tv worked and the wifi worked.

The shower didnt drain and no one could shower, before it would fill the shower with still water covering your feet. The towels were not very clean, no amenities for example: salt and pepper, soap in the shower, or a second fan, and fooseball balls were missing as well. Wanted to charge us money to check in an hour early, we choose not to.
