Stylish 1BR Flat-Terrace-Free Parking-Rail Station

We wanted a place just outside central London where we could park the car up, catch the train into London and be proper tourists. It’s about a six minute walk to South Croydon station. Or you catch a bus into East Croydon . Think it was a 64. Location very good for that. The flat was clean, we didn’t cook but there were sufficient facilities if you wanted to. Host was very good at responding to questions we had.

I personally found difficulty in getting into the flat as the step up is higher than the normal step, poor husband had to haul me in! But I’m in my 60s with hip and walking issues. The flat was clean and tidy and the bed linen clean and fresh The flat is just tired looking , the floorboards look like they are coming apart from each other. The shower was grubby feeling and generally tired all over. The towel rail was not attached to the wall and the shower leaked from underneath. As I say the host was good at keeping in touch and did say let me know if anything was wrong. I did mention this but in the email as opposed to the booking.com site. So I got a failed report from website. Having said that they must have been aware of the rail not being on the wall. No hand towels , just bath towels supplied. Windows felt insecure and again tired looking. A householder from another flat left a note on our car , a polite one. It may be advisable to mention to future guests where to specifically park their car to avoid upsetting anyone in the future. We left that for the host .
