Perched above Playa Matapalo, Casa Cascada is a tropical retreat designed for unforgettable group getaways. This beautiful home sleeps up to 12 guests, with 3 spacious bedrooms and a bunk room that’s perfect for kids or friends traveling together.
With breathtaking scenery, wildlife all around, and the pure essence of “Pura Vida,” you’ll quickly fall in love with the magic of Costa Rica—and we’re sure you’ll want to come back to explore even more!
WHAT YOU WILL LOVE:
Gather around the 10-foot dining table, where everyone can share meals and stories while soaking in panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
Just steps from your door, enjoy a short hike through the lush property to discover your own private waterfall—a magical hidden gem perfect for a refreshing dip or quiet moment in nature.
In just 5 minutes by car, you’ll be toes-in-the-sand at the beautiful and uncrowded Playa Matapalo, one of Costa Rica’s best-kept secrets.
A 4x4 vehicle is REQUIRED to access the property—trust us, it’s part of the adventure and totally worth it!
A member of our dedicated team will greet you for a personal check in, give you all the instructions and recommendations for a perfect stay!
Please note the 2 queen bedrooms are accessed in the main part of the house with the kitchen and living room. The 3rd bedroom and bunk room are located downstairs and accessed by stairs outside of the main house.

Costa Rica's tropical climate is home to a wide variety of insects, lizards, rodents, and reptiles. While we have a strict pest control plan in place to keep these visitors outside the home, it’s important to understand that occasional encounters with local wildlife are part of the natural experience and do not constitute a breach of the rental policy. We appreciate your understanding as you embrace the beauty of this vibrant ecosystem.
POOL MAINTENANCE
The maintenance team will require access to the house on those days.
IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER
Being located in the jungle, power outages can occur from time to time due to falling branches or other weather-related issues.
Additionally, the local water supply comes from nearby springs, which can occasionally experience interruptions.
We kindly ask guests to keep this in mind as part of the rural and natural experience of staying in this beautiful area.

By car: approx. 3.5 hours from San José (SJO) Airport
By air: 20-minute flight from SJO to Quepos Airport, then 40 minutes by car
