About this house rental

Enjoy our newly renovated bungalow in Hendersonville, Western North Carolina's best small town. Nestled on a lush half-acre in a homey historic neighborhood, this 1943 brick home has been lovingly updated while still retaining its historic feel. Enjoy comfortable furnishings with cooling mattresses in both bedrooms. The Blue Door boasts a brand new kitchen and bath, new HVAC, a large covered porch, 1000 GHZ WiFi, and a 65" television. The large, treed yard features a grill and several seating areas.

The Blue Door Bungalow is in historic Hyman Heights, the most desirable neighborhood in Hendersonville with its easy walking distance to both Main Street and the Seventh Avenue district. Filled with tall trees, beautiful gardens and historic homes on large lots, Hyman Heights residents are very friendly and will say hello as they walk their dogs or ride their bikes.

We are the third owners of the Blue Door Bungalow. Built in 1943, this home was lived in and loved by one family for over 70 years, beginning in the 1950s. Our goal was to honor the Blue Door Bungalow's history as we brought it up to 21st-century standards.

We are proud to say that the Blue Door Bungalow now has air conditioning from a new HVAC system, as well as a brand-new kitchen and bath. We have also updated many things you can't see, which will make your stay more comfortable and reliable.

The home has one large master bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a large closet, plus a second bedroom with two twin beds. All mattresses are the same high quality bamboo-topped cooling mattresses made in North Carolina. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the interior space or look out the windows. There is a dedicated workspace and office chair, plus plenty of other sitting/working areas inside to soak up the light. There is also a large covered porch. Western North Carolina is a porch culture, and you can see the mountains from our front porch, which is filled with chairs and a small table and chairs.

The backyard is large and filled with mature trees,. There is a hidden area under the master bedroom with a picnic table and chairs should you want to eat a meal while enjoying the greenery. There is also a picnic table and brand new propane grill in our new grilling area.

The home has a brand-new washer/dryer in the basement, as well as a large driveway that can accommodate up to three cars parked back-to-back. There is also ample street parking.

The neighbors are all lovely and will welcome you to Hyman Heights! We can't wait to host you at the Blue Door Bungalow!
