Between pond, mill and nature in the Dordogne

Welcome to the Maison du Forgeron, a charming cottage located in Saint-Estèphe, in the Dordogne, a few steps from our private pond of 3 hectares, in the heart of the forests of the Périgord-Limousin regional park.

Designed to accommodate up to 5 travelers, with 2 pets welcome, the house benefits from a privileged setting with a magnificent view of the mill and the stream.

On one level and air-conditioned, it offers a new, warm and comfortable interior.

You will find:

• 1 double bedroom with 160 cm bed
• 1 double bedroom with 2 x 90 cm beds, which can be joined into a double bed according to your wish
• a large living room with fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and 1-seater sofa bed
• a covered terrace with a magnificent view of the mill
• a large fenced garden
• TV and Wi-Fi fibre

Here, the stay is lived to the rhythm of our 25-hectare estate:
In the morning, you can enjoy your coffee in front of the mill, lulled by the sound of the wheels and the stream.
The day is divided between hiking, relaxing by the water, canoeing on the pond or no-kill fishing.
In the evening, you can meet on the terrace to have a quiet dinner around the plancha.

The house is also an ideal starting point to discover the Périgord and its riches: villages of character, castles, caves and local markets. We will be happy to share with you some great ideas for visits and getaways in the surrounding area.

• We provide full bed linen (on arrival the beds are made), towels and household linen, as well as cleaning products (soap, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, sponges and detergent).

• You can store your bikes safely within the property.

• From April to October, a canoe is at your disposal to glide peacefully on the pond.

• Be aware that the banks of the pond are not protected: do not let your children walk there without being accompanied by an adult.

• Swimming is not allowed in our pond, but you can swim in July and August at the Grand Étang de Saint-Estèphe, located 800 metres away.
