Located 100 ft from the river this unique property is built from logs brought in from Montana. The logs are huge and provide a beautiful solid structure. The exceptional winding staircase is something to behold and leads to 2 loft bedrooms, a full custom bath and reading room. The bath was designed by a local artist along with the ceramic artistry surrounding the jet tub. The bunk room which has 3 custom log bunk beds, sitting area, mini frig, smart tv, and 2 pull out chairs is a great place for kids or adults.
Downstairs, spacious laundry room complete with everything needed for your stay, a full custom bathroom complete with a huge linen closet stocked both with linens and amenities. The living and dining rooms are the center of the cabin and offer a huge 85” smart tv and dining table for 8. A wood burner in the center keeps this cabin very cozy!
Leading to the kitchen is another full guest bath and down the hall are 2 bedrooms one is a full size and the other is a queen. Both have built in dressers and ceiling fans. Off the kitchen is a a natural fireplace and sectional for the utmost comfort overseeing the AuSable River. The master suite located off the kitchen has a full bath and natural fireplace
The outside property has plenty of cozy seating for a fire on the river, games to play etc. 40 acres of hiking and wondering, small creeks on the property offer a great exploration of northern Michigan. The North Branch of the AuSable provides the best fly fishing this side of the Rockies and is known for brown trout!
Locally (3 miles away) there is a restaurant Lovells Riverside Tavern. Excellent food and same owners own the Lovells Riverside Cabins 5 cabins (sleep 4 in each) all in Lovells on the river and available for family gatherings. Make your vacation stay in the hidden gem of “Lovells” Michigan
We ask that you respect the river and do not throw anything into it. A fun factor is that you can kayak (not provided) from this property to the Lovells Riverside Tavern in 1 .5 hours! It’s a beautiful float and worth the time to arrange. On the other side of Tavern is another great float about 2 hours to Dam 4. Lots of options and things to do. Shupac lake is another option and don’t forget the many many trails surrounding Lovells that take you just about anywhere on SxS or snowmobile!
