Warning: Wildlife May Be Present

You are entering a zone occupied by sea breezes, beach grass, singing birds, busy bees, wandering butterflies, and the occasional bug with absolutely no respect for personal space

Being located near the beach and a nature preserve means you'll likely encounter some of our local residents—flies, insects, lizards, birds, and other wildlife. We regularly maintain the property, but Mother Nature doesn't always check in with management first.

Please help us keep our outdoor friends outdoors by keeping doors and windows closed when possible.

Thank you for embracing the authentic coastal experience and sharing this beautiful corner of nature with its original inhabitants!

"The wildlife was here first—we're all just visiting."

ITEMS TO BRING: Bath & beach towels, Bed linens, soaps, toiletries, and paper products (TP, paper towels, trash bags). Beach chairs and umbrellas are also recommended. You may find other items left behind from past guests.

## Guest Information

We strive to provide a clean, comfortable, and affordable beach getaway. To help keep rental rates reasonable while offering the comforts of home, some amenities operate on a convenient self-service basis.

### Optional Self-Service Linen Package

Professionally laundered sheets and towels are available to rent and are delivered to the home on your check-in day. Linens are provided folded and packaged for you to make the beds at your convenience, as our housekeeping team is not stationed at the property. If there is ever an issue with your linen delivery, simply let us know and we'll work directly with the linen service to resolve it.

### Propane Grill

A propane grill is provided for guest use. Propane is not supplied, as usage varies from guest to guest. If the tank is empty, simply exchange or refill it at the nearby Food Lion in Milton and send us your receipt. We are happy to reimburse the cost of one propane refill during your stay.

If grilling is part of your vacation plans, we recommend checking the propane tank shortly after arrival before purchasing food for the grill.

The grill is maintained on the honor system. We ask each guest to clean it after use so it is ready for the next family to enjoy. While we encourage everyone to leave the grill clean, we cannot guarantee the previous guest did so.

Thank you for helping us keep these amenities available while allowing us to offer a comfortable vacation home at a great value.

A Note About Beach-House Living

This is a well-loved beach home—not a sealed hotel environment. Coastal living naturally comes with sand, salt air, occasional insects, and sometimes temporary marshy or earthy odors after heavy rain or during very hot weather.

Our cleaning team carefully prepares the home between every stay. However, as with any lived-in home, an occasional cobweb, overlooked dish, or determined little beach bug may appear. If we miss something that needs attention, please let us know promptly so we have the opportunity to make it right.

We cannot promise a completely bug-free, sand-free, or nature-free experience—but we can offer a comfortable home near the beach where you can relax, enjoy the coast, and make wonderful memories. We care deeply about the home and genuinely want you to enjoy your stay.

A Note About Coastal Air

Our homes are located in a beautiful natural coastal setting, surrounded by the beach, bay, and tidal wetlands. At times, you may notice an earthy, marsh-like scent in the air both inside and out.

According to NOAA, coastal marshes contain waterlogged soils, vegetation, and naturally decomposing organic material. This natural process can release sulfur compounds that contribute to the distinctive scent sometimes associated with marshes and tidal areas.

The scent may become more noticeable depending on the tides, temperature, humidity, wind direction, rainfall, and other weather conditions. It is a naturally occurring and temporary part of the coastal environment—not an issue with the home.

For many visitors, it is simply one of the authentic characteristics of staying between the beach, bay, and marsh.
