About this apartment rental
Beautiful loft on the 3rd floor (without an elevator) in a quiet, green courtyard on the top floor of a factory building with an eventful history. In the late 1960s, this building received a lot of publicity because the members of the so-called “Kommune 1,” who rebelled against the establishment, lived here. “Kommune 1” stood for sexual liberation, much like the hippie movement in the United States. Some of the famous residents included Fritz Teufel, Dieter Kunzelmann, Rainer Langhans, and Ulrich Enzensberger. The apartment features very comfortable furnishings and free internet access.
The living room is spacious and, in addition to the solid teak dining table, includes a seating area with a leather sofa that invites you to relax after exploring Berlin. The roof structure and skylights, combined with the brushed brick wall, create an atmosphere that reflects Berlin’s creative potential.
Parties or celebrations are not allowed.
The apartment is located in the northern part of Tiergarten, in the lively but not overly crowded neighborhood known as “Stephankiez.”
The nearest subway station (Birkenstrasse) and the nearest S-Bahn station are about 700 meters away. Bus stops for line 123 are about 300 meters from the apartment, and the bus takes you to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) in just a few minutes. From there, the political city center—including the Reichstag building and the Brandenburg Gate—is easy to reach. .
The Berlin city administration requires registration for overnight guests.
