Summary:
Relax with family or friends in the real countryside, on the shores of a peaceful waterway located only 30 minutes from the many activities and restaurants offered by the dynamic city of Sherbrooke. A rustic, cozy and warm nest with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A magnificent view, a small sandy beach, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a dock to have your coffee and several indoor and outdoor dining areas will make you live the real Petit Bonheur!
The Space:
Located on the shores of the Saint-François River (the river is navigable), the cottage offers a unique and relaxing experience in the heart of nature. You will love the smell of wood and the aroma of coffee as soon as you enter the cottage: very comforting. The interior walls are covered with various types of wood, which is pleasing to the eye as well as to the nose.
The crystal clear waters of the river offer a beautiful view and a soothing atmosphere, perfect for a romantic getaway or a family retreat. In addition to enjoying the river, there are many activities and tourist attractions located near the cottage:
- Parc des Deux Rivières in East Angus, 15 minutes from your cottage: a favourite spot for outdoor enthusiasts, criss-crossed by hiking and biking trails, with lookouts, picnic areas, a hebertism trail and interpretation stations. In winter, the main trails in the park are plowed and accessible for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and tubing.
- East Angus Golf Club, 16 minutes from your cottage: an amazing 18-hole course, since 1935...
- The Astrolab of Mont Mégantic, 50 minutes away: activities for all, day and night. Visit the most efficient observatory in Canada, fascinating exhibitions and a cinema of the stars. - Fully equipped kitchen with DISHWASHER, induction stove, filter coffee machine, Chinese fondue and raclette sets... and plenty of work space to cook
- Large dining table that can accommodate 6 people, in addition to the lunch counter and its 3 benches
- Washer and dryer: very practical when staying several days ;-)
- 1 bedroom on the ground floor with a queen size bed and 2 bedrooms in the basement with queen size beds, one of which has a baby crib. Please note: one of the bedrooms in the basement is not entirely enclosed by walls, but still offers plenty of privacy thanks to curtains on rails. A comfortable and well-designed space for relaxing, while maintaining an open and friendly atmosphere

We really loved our stay at Au Petit Bonheur. Both the cottage itself and the surrounding property were exactly as advertised - very spacious, well furnished and equipped, and very peaceful with beautiful scenic views. We would highly recommend this property to anyone. :)

My family enjoyed our stay at this cottage very much, it was a great first Vrbo experience. As the process was new I had a few questions, and our host was prompt with responses both prior and during our stay.
The cottage has comfortable and cozy living spaces and a kitchen with a walk out patio. The enclosed porch was nice in the evening and when needing to get out of the sun while wanting to still enjoy fresh air. Our children loved the air hockey table! Everyone's favourite was being on the river. My husband could fish, we all went in the kayaks, and the little beach cove at the dock offered a place to be in the water.
