Devon Belltents - Salcombe

My family and I stayed for the weekend and absolutely loved it. We are definitely not natural campers, and with a one year old and an almost three year old, it felt like a bit of a gamble, but we decided to embrace it as an adventure, and we’re so glad we did! The bell tents were gorgeous, really well equipped and surprisingly spacious. We had plenty of room for a travel cot and Z-bed for the kids, alongside a lovely, comfortable double bed for us. It was beautifully quiet up on the hill, with stunning views and the most glorious sunrises and sunsets. The location is brilliant too, around 10 minutes into Salcombe and only about 5 minutes from South Sands Beach. Our tent was right next to a little kitchen area with drinking water and a stove, as well as a small cabin toilet which was clean and really handy. The main showers and toilets were down at the campsite, so you either needed to walk or drive down, but this really wasn’t an issue. The main campsite was well thought out and clean. There’s also a little play area next to the showers, which was incredibly handy for tag teaming getting ready with the kids! Another big bonus was being able to park right next to the tents, which made loading and unloading everything so easy. The owners were also lovely to deal with, super responsive and accommodating when we got in touch ahead of our stay to ask about the set up for the kids, and again once during our stay. We had such a fab stay and would definitely do it again. It gave us all the fun and adventure of camping without feeling like we were completely roughing it, perfect for a family like ours!

You had to walk down or drive to main campsite for showers and a no2 💩🤣 but we survived

Not that clear how to find it (so many different names!) and it’s a 5-7 min walk across a field from any facilities (WC, showers). Not a problem but worth others being aware of.
