Staff are so so friendly and helpful. Great location. Room service done via WhatsApp and it’s so efficient. Rooms are really clean and new. Photos don’t do justice of how relaxing and amamzing the place is. Beautiful pool. Highly recommend!!! 10/10

Bugs in the room.

I mostly liked my stay here. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is great. I mean, it's a small island after all, so you can't really be in the wrong place anyway. But Dewi Sri is located just off the buzzing main road. Hence it's close to shops, bars and restaurants but you won't hear any noise coming from there. Walking to the beach doesn't take too long either. The garden and pool in front of the bungalows is really beautiful and the water so clean. It's really peaceful.

I wasn't a big fan of the bungalow itself to be honest. It looked much bigger in the pictures but the rooms are small in reality. I guess this is pretty normal for the Gilis though, so don't expect too much. It has all the basics you need. However, there are no table lamps on the bedside tables which would make the room look a lot cozier (especially in the evenings obviously). Also no little fridge to keep your water bottle cool if that's something you need. The ceiling ambient light only has a switch by the door, so you will have to get out of bed to switch it off/on every time you want to use it. The rooms are very dark which I disliked very much at first but adapted to over time. The bedsheets were black which absorbed light as well. They use about 5 different fragrances in the room which I found way too much. I don't mind a subtle fragrance to make the room smell nice but this gave me a headache. We ended up removing them all and put them in a small cupboard. There were also a lot of mosquitoes in our room. At first we couldn't quite explain where they were coming from because we kept doors and windows closed. But after closer inspection we found massive gaps below the windows and doors. After we closed them with toilet paper and towels we didn't have any further issues. We stayed 3 nights and the property grew on me over time but during my 3 weeks in Indonesia this was unfortunately my least favorite place I stayed at. However, since I could have probably done more research and I believe most accommodations are similarly sized; the host were so friendly and everything very clean, I decided to give this property a reasonably high rating regardless.

The hosts were so lovely and helpful. They helped us get a scooter, sort laundry and gave us recommendations for the island. They were so friendly, always greeting us and wanting to help, and made our experience special. We got a delicious drink on arrival and also we were each given a shell bracelet when we left, so special. Thank you so much!
