Thoughtful design: high quality materials, clever lighting, lots of sockets, fully stocked kitchen with fun wine-cork splashback, big TV and huge bed with view of private garden and large dining area with grill and chill out seating zone.

The second bedroom and ensuite is in a cabin at end of garden, this provided great privacy but me and my adult son but may not be suitable for young kids. You cannot close the garden door of the main apartment from the garden so if you're in the cabin you cannot access the apartment or street which is a fire and safety issue. Easily resolved by installing a regular door handle. A big 9 on the main door and 'Garden Apartment' arrows would be helpful for disorientated guests arriving in 33 degree heat to find quickly.

Excellent location, with a great choice of bars and restaurants within a 5-minute walk. Lovely outdoor area and excellent service throughout our stay. The train station is very close, with convenient connections to both Saint-Émilion and Bordeaux, making it an ideal base for exploring the region.
