Uscio su Francesco

La situation de l'hébergement est tout simplement extraordinaire : à peine sorti, on se retrouve sur une Piazzetta surplombant la basilique San Francesco et la plaine. C'est un spectacle unique à tout heure du jour et de la nuit dont on ne se lasse pas. La basilique est donc à 2 minutes à pied. Par ailleurs, on a pu garer notre voiture gratuitement dans le parking San Giacomo à 3 minutes à pied. L'absence de climatisation nous avait un peu inquiétés en ce début août mais l'épaisseur des murs et les ventilateurs permettent de garder la fraîcheur. Cuisine bien équipée (un lave vaisselle serait un plus). Si on revient à Assise, ce sera sûrement ici.

On a été surpris que les draps fassent l'objet d'un supplément mais l'hôte nous a gentiment annulé ce surcoût.

The best thing about this accommodation is two things. 1. Location. You are a few meters from the nearest church, St. Margaret of Antioch. It is 2 minutes to the Basilica of St. Francis. 2. Genius loci. You feel like you are in a very old part of the city. You are fully engaged into the old town spirit. You feel safe, calm, nice there. These two things are so great that make up for all the disadvantages. You are in the center of Assisi at an unbeatable price. We definitely want to come back to this accommodation someday.

1. Kids were ok in the bedroom, but my wife and I slept on a sofa bed, which was one of the worst I've ever experienced. The mattress is very thin and the construction below goes up and down and up. Part is hard an part soft. Your back is tested there. The sofa creaks terribly at the slightest movement. We were constantly waking each other up with every turn. 2. There's not much air in the apartment. The only way to properly ventilate it is to open the door to the street. People walk by and look in. But it's safe there. The window in the bedroom can be opened, but doesn't have a curtain, everyone can look in. There's an old window above the door, but you can only open it from a chair. 3. The WiFi does not function or is incredibly weak and pausing. In combination with no or very weak signal for mobile, it makes impossible to check any info on internet. But you're willing to sacrifice these things, because the location and the overall spirit of this accommodation are amazing.

Tutto perfetto, locale molto suggestivo. Siamo stati ad Assisi in un periodo di caldo intenso ma nel appartamento si stava benissimo, fresco e non si sentiva la necessità di aria condizionata. Il che è molto positivo. Posizione ottima, a 3 minuti dalla Basilica di San Francesco, con una bellissima vista dal vicolo. Il migliore appartamento in cui siamo stati finora ad Assisi. Ci ritorneremo

LOCALI UMIDI, PORTO SEMPRE UN TERMO IGROMETRO, NON SCIENTIFICO, INDICAVA ca. 75-80%. NON C'È POSSIBILITÀ DI RICAMBIO ARIA ... SOLO UNA PICCOLA FINESTRA IN CAMERA, L'ALTRO LOCALE OPEN SPACE AVEVA SOLO LA PORTA INGRESSO, SOPRA LA QUALE UNA FINESTRA A "MEZZA LUNA" SI APRIVA PER 1/2 CM MAX. LE 2 "APERTURE" SULLO STESSO LATO, NON PERMETTEVANO DI CREARE UN FLUSSO D'ARIA. FORTUNATAMENTE SONO STATI 2 GG DI CLIMA SERENO. PUR CAPENDO LA DIFFICOLTÀ DI AVERE UN CDZ IN QUESTO TIPO DI EDIFICIO, SAREBBE L'UNICA SOLUZIONE. LOCALI TROVATI DISCRETAMENTE PULITI, ANCHE IL BAGNO AD ECCEZIONE DELLA VENTOLA DI ASPIRAZIONE CHE HO DOVUTO PULIRE DALLA POLVERE ACCUMULATA, IMPOSSIBILE NON SIA STATA NOTATA DAGLI ADDETTI ALLA PULIZIA. PER 2 NOTTI CI SIAMO ADATTATI, NON PENSO DI SUGGERIRLO AD ALTRI, NONOSTANTE L'OTTIMA POSIZIONE, GIUSTO SOPRA LA BASILICA.
