A wonderful terrace and the house cleaning

All was perfect

A very cozy, clean and welcoming place. The apartment had everything we needed and even more – games, books, useful recommendations and lots of thoughtful little details that made us feel at home straight away. Our children immediately announced that they would happily stay here longer than we had planned! The apartment was also very practical for a family, with two toilets, one of them with a shower, which made mornings and evenings much easier when travelling with children.. The hosts live right next door and are friendly and responsive whenever you have a question or need anything. You can park your car next to the house on one of Funchal’s famously steep streets. Getting there definitely gave us a chance to put our accumulated steep-hill driving skills to good use – all part of the Madeira experience! The location is very convenient. Funchal city centre is only a few minutes away by car, as is the beautiful Church of Our Lady of Monte and the surrounding Monte area. A lovely and comfortable home base for exploring Funchal or Madeira, especially for a family. We would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again.

* The host was amazing and friendly, met us upon arrival, and was ready to help us with check-in. * The host left us some lovely welcome gifts, including local beer, cookies, and water. * The towels were beautifully arranged and decorated with small flowers 💙 * Amazing view and a cozy backyard with a banana tree. * The host provided an iron upon request. * The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

* (Personal preference) The mattress and pillows were not comfortable for me — they were too hard. I had to sleep without a pillow because it caused neck pain. It would be great to provide several pillow options with different levels of firmness. * The bed is too small, and the metal frame is quite noisy. Every time I needed to turn over during the night, the noise would wake up the other person sleeping in the same bed.
