Rustico Moranda, Vogorno - The Verzasca Experience

We spent 3 wonderful days at Rustico Moranda in the beautiful village of Vogorno, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The village itself is absolutely charming, with old stone houses and authentic stone roofs everywhere around. It was so special to stay among local residents and really feel the atmosphere of a traditional Ticino village. The house is located high above Lake Vogorno, offering breathtaking views. There is so much greenery around, birds singing all day long, and every evening we even saw a curious fox in the distance, which we loved very much. The location is excellent, very close to the famous Verzasca Valley, the dam, Lavertezzo bridge, and many beautiful old villages that are wonderful to explore on foot. The house itself is extremely cozy, clean, and equipped with everything you might need: towels, kitchen utensils, coffee machine, barbecue, and a lovely summer terrace. You immediately feel at home and do not need to worry about anything. There are also supermarkets in Locarno where you can buy everything needed for breakfast or dinner and enjoy meals outside on the terrace with an amazing view. Inside the house there are two dining areas, two bedrooms upstairs for four people, a fully equipped kitchen. Parking is available directly at the house for up to two cars. We also loved all the antique and historical objects inside the house, it was fascinating to look at all the details and decorations. The hosts were very kind, welcoming, and always replied quickly to messages. Overall, my family and I were absolutely delighted with our stay. It was a unique opportunity to experience life in a traditional Ticino village almost like locals 🙂
