Lovely Pueblo House with Pool & Sea Views Mijas

The house is fabulous, spotlessly clean and very modern with everything you could need - nice touches such as shower gel, laundry detergent etc and loads of wardrobe/storage space and hangers. Some lovely touches and a great location. An easy walk to the main town (after the steps!) and the Fiesta restaurant at the base of the complex is very authentic with great food and service. Would definitely recommend. The terrace has lovely views to the sea and resorts below and the area is very quiet and well maintained. Although a couple of minor gripes, which we are only sharing in case they can be sorted, we would absolutely book to stay here again as we loved it. It really is a great property.

The steps!!! We really don't recall seeing anything about this in the blurb (until we got the pre-entry video link) and there's a LOT. It is not good with heavy cases and in the heat; we don't think the property would work for anyone with mobility issues - the 'shortcut' to the main street is 95 steep steps :-( Someone mentioned there were lifts, but apparently these haven't worked for some time. There was no welcome booklet, so a bit of a hunt for WiFi code and where to dispose of rubbish - tip: the bins are opposite Restaurante Fiesta so take your bags little and often!! Communal pool area would benefit from more shade as very few lounger umbrellas - maybe take a portable parasol with you. Although the complex is well maintained we didn't really see anyone clean the pool of flies and leaves etc and a light that came loose was certainly left floating for a couple of days... A lot of guests struggled with pool access fob not working too, but it's not clear who to ask to resolve. The house is upside down so it's quite easy to cool the bedrooms with Aircon. However, upstairs gets incredibly hot and although a ceiling fan and Aircon in the living room it's hard to cool down because the kitchen is open plan and very, very sunny. A free standing fan or blind on the kitchen balcony doors might help.
