The Space:
Woodlands View in Rudyard near Leek consists of an open-plan living space with a kitchen including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, a dining area, and a sitting area with Smart TV. The bedrooms include a king-size with en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC, and a twin, serviced by a second shower room. Outside, there is off-road parking for three cars, a non-enclosed front patio with furniture, and an enclosed rear garden with patio, lawn, furniture and hot tub. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 0.1 mile, pub 2.2 miles, lake 0.2 miles. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Note: No stag, hen or similar and no group/couple bookings under the age of 25. Woodlands View is a superb base for a relaxing break in Staffordshire.
The Neighborhood:
The hillside market town of Leek, known as “The Queen of the Moorlands” is situated on the western side of The Peaks and is surrounded by lovely Moorland countryside. The town has a charming cobbled market place and there are many examples of fine Victorian architecture influenced by William Morris - a reminder of the town’s prosperity when it was renowned as a silk manufacturing centre. Today Leek offers a wide selection of shops including vast antique emporiums, a good selection of restaurants, a local park and leisure facilities and real ale pubs. Situated close to Three Shires Head, the meeting point of the counties of Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire, Leek is near to Chatsworth House, Buxton Opera House and Gawsworth Hall, plus Alton Towers is within driving distance.
