The North Devon Surf School is on your doorstep if you fancy learning how to ride the waves. Northam Burrows Country Park sits at the far end of the beach, providing a peaceful, scenic spot perfect for long walks and picnics together – try the cafe if you forget to bring some snacks! Other nearby locations with plenty of charm include the fishing villages of Appledore (2 miles) and pretty Clovelly (12 miles), while the harbour town of Bideford (4 miles) is great for stocking up on supplies or enjoying some food and drink out.
