West Beach - Holiday Apartments

It’s a great apartment but you may not know about the security light. I slept in the twin room and the security light came on and off all through both nights even though nothing was moving outside. It would come on then after a while go off then come straight on again. It floods the twin room with light and is strong enough that it continuously woke me up. Thank you for a lovely stay hopefully you can fix the light for next person. Regards Helen Holden

Lovely and clean, beds really comfortable! Everything you needed as the apartment was well equipped. Close to the beach and shops.

The unfinished apartments were an eyesore but it didn’t put us off wanting to stay again. Was really nice getting the information on why too

we have stayed here 6 or 7 times .centrally located 2 minute walk to sea front

The walk though the old bridge gap is not good underfoot. however this is not under the juristiction of westbeach. i believe torrage council

There are 2 blocks of apartments. Having stayed here 2 years ago I was confident that it would be fine. However on arrival we discovered that the unfinished apartments under construction 2 years ago had now been abandoned and have been left in a dangerous and derelict condition. Apparently there are no plans for this to change as we heard the company has now gone bust and no one is accepting responsibility. We had also been allocated an apartment right next to this.. There had been an attempt to hide the view by raising the height of the walls in the stairwell, this unfortunately left us feeling we were in a prison. There were broken windows, an overflowing skip and someone had painted the grim reaper on the wall. If I had been staying by myself I would have felt too scared to stay. Inside the apartment was clean except the windows which were very dirty on the outside. The crockery and glassware were a mismash. I did not feel that the price we paid reflected what we were given and the description on booking.com did not mention the derelict buildings. This is such a shame as my last visit was very positive. A good location and a lovely view down to the sea..
