About this house rental
The outdoor spaces make it easy to embrace life by the water. A generous lawn and quiet setting — with native bush on one side and distant neighbours on the other — create a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere, often filled with the sound of gentle waves and morning tui song. Folding doors open the kitchen and dining area onto a large deck, perfect for relaxed meals with unobstructed views of the bay. Downstairs, the cosy sitting room welcomes summer breezes through sliding doors, while a fireplace sets the tone for comfortable evenings indoors.
Spread across three levels, Te Uenga features three queen bedrooms upstairs, along with a bathroom and a charming porch off the master room that includes two sets of bunks — ideal for children or extra guests. A second bathroom downstairs ensures convenience for groups, and the practical laundry with washer and dryer makes beach days easy. WiFi runs throughout the home, and the well‑equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, coffee machine, and multiple fridge/freezers. Though not modernised like a new build, this warm, character‑filled bach delivers everything needed for relaxed, memorable stays.
Set in the peaceful settlement of Parekura Bay, this is a destination where daily life slows and the natural beauty of the Bay of Islands takes centre stage. A small ramp provides boat launching access for exploring nearby island sanctuaries and exceptional fishing areas, with designated caulerpa restrictions to keep in mind. Russell and Paihia are each around a 30‑minute drive away — offering cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, and many of the region’s top attractions when guests are ready for a slice of local adventure.
Please note that due to the presence of caulerpa seaweed, fishing or anchoring is not permitted in designated areas.
Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.
