The Space:
The Old Barn is part of a converted barn, located in the Cumbrian village of Nether Wasdale. It comes with two bedrooms made up of one double and one twin room, there is also a family shower room, the property can sleep four people. The interior also boasts an open-plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. To the outside there is ample off road parking and a front enclosed courtyard with a table and chairs. The Old Barn is a stunning cottage in a superb location for exploring the surrounding area.Bed linen is included please bring own towels. The Neighborhood:
Nether Wasdale is a village west of Wast Water, the deepest lake in Britain. It has two pubs, a farm shop and a café. It's a base for climbing, hiking and other outdoor pursuits. Canoeing and kayaking are perfect for these waters. Wast Water is by The Screes and at the head of the lake the Great Gable and Scafell Pike can be reached. The view from the top is breath-taking. Wasdale Head has the church of St. Olaf, dating back to 1550, its beams are said to have come from Viking long boats. Close by are the villages of Santon Bridge and Gosforth.
