Percy Woods Country Park offers something for everyone, from unlimited access to its 18-hole golf course to woodland walks around the grounds where you might spot one of the resident deer. Soak up hundreds of years of rich local history at the iconic Alnwick Castle, 10.5 miles away, the second largest inhabited castle in the UK, or Warkworth Castle (8.5 miles), which offers breathtaking views across the River Coquet. Keen coastal explorers can hop aboard a boat trip to the Farne Islands from Seahouses (24 miles) to spot the UK's largest grey seal colony. Or enjoy a day on the sand at the gloriously golden stretch of Druridge Bay Beach, 13 miles away.
