Located on the first floor of a two-storey holiday cottage, this self-contained apartment can be rented with the property below for larger groups. Accessed via two flights of outdoors stairs, it’s been thoughtfully designed with a sophisticated colour scheme and high-quality fixtures and fittings. The open-plan kitchen/diner forms the sociable heart of this home with a spacious and well-equipped kitchen and a family diner seating six people. Next door, the contemporary lounge invites restful evenings with a wood burner and abundant soft seating. Make the most of warm weather with al fresco meals on the raised terrace or evenings stargazing with a bottle of wine, while children and dogs play on the grassy garden, accessed down a couple of steps. When night falls, choose from a king-size and a double bedroom, both with en-suites, and a cosy twin which has its own WC. A utility room completes the interior, while outside there’s private parking for two cars.
St Dogmaels has a handful of shops and pubs plus a fish and chip shops, so all the essentials are nearby. Visit the ruins of St Dogmaels Abbey (0.5 miles) or wander along the banks of the estuary to Poppit Sands. From here, you can pick up the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, or join the water-sports enthusiasts enjoying windsurfing, surfing and kayaking. Follow the estuary in the opposite direction to Cardigan (2 miles), famed for its impressive castle and thriving arts culture.
