About this house rental
Nestled in a 1,700 m² tropical garden between Sainte-Rose and Deshaies on the leeward coast of Guadeloupe, Souf Van is a spacious 80 m² bungalow built entirely of wood. With its 3 bedrooms, large panoramic terrace and shared salt water pool, it is designed for groups of friends and couples who want to travel together without sacrificing their comfort.
An all-wood tropical lodge
Souf Van stands out for its all-wood architecture and lodge atmosphere. The exterior bedroom, with its cathedral panelled ceiling and raw wood walls, offers an immediate change of scenery. From the terrace, the view of the garden, the palm trees and the swimming pool completes the picture. The bungalow is part of the Au Jardin d'Éole estate, a set of 3 wooden accommodations spread over a manicured tropical park — space, greenery and tranquility.
Three bedrooms to travel together
Souf Van has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, an ideal configuration for 4 to 6 people. Two bedrooms are air-conditioned and each has its own bathroom with walk-in shower: everyone's privacy is preserved, even on holiday with friends. The last bedroom, in the style of a wooden lodge with cathedral ceiling, is equipped with a queen-size bed and benefits from natural ventilation by the trade winds. The other two bedrooms each have a double bed and air conditioning.
Large panoramic terrace and convivial kitchen
The covered terrace is Souf Van's main asset. Spacious and open to the tropical garden and the swimming pool, it combines a lounge with colourful cushions, a table for 6 guests and a bar with serving hatch to the indoor kitchen. This is the central living space of the bungalow, where you can meet for an aperitif, meals and evenings with friends.
The indoor kitchen is fully equipped: gas hob, oven, fridge, toaster and all the necessary utensils. The wooden serving hatch allows you to serve directly on the terrace, in the convivial spirit of a tropical bar.
Salt pool, carbet and shared spaces
The estate's salt pool is shared between the 3 accommodations of Au Jardin d'Éole. With a limited number of travellers, the pool remains calm and accessible at all hours. The salt-treated water is gentle on the skin and without the smell of chlorine. The covered carbet with its wooden bar is the ideal place to extend the evening around a ti-punch, facing the tropical garden.
The most beautiful beaches 10 minutes away
From Souf Van, the emblematic beaches of northern Basse-Terre are within easy reach. Grande Anse, one of the largest in Guadeloupe, is 10 minutes away. Cluny, intimate and lined with coconut palms, at the same distance. La Perle, wild and preserved, 12 minutes away. All of them are on the leeward coast, naturally spared by sargassum.PGJyPgFor group outings, the leeward coast offers something to vary the pleasures: diving and snorkeling in the Cousteau reserve, hikes to the Carbet Falls, visit the Deshaies Botanical Garden, boat trip in the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin.
Facilities and comfort
Souf Van is equipped for an independent stay: wifi, television, full kitchen, bed linen and towels provided. Two parking spaces are included, practical when traveling with several cars. The bungalow is built to anticyclonic standards and has a secure room, a guarantee of tranquility in all seasons. The solar water heater and solar panels are part of an environmentally friendly approach.
A rental car is essential to fully enjoy Guadeloupe and its treasures.
