About this cottage rental

This beloved holiday retreat offers a quintessential family getaway to discover the breathtaking Norfolk coastline. Nestled in the picturesque village of Brancaster Staithe, renowned for its thriving fishing and sailing scene, this cottage is a haven for those seeking coastal adventures and boasts a cosy lounge with an open fire and a unique coastal-view cabin in the garden.

Step into the welcoming embrace of the spacious lounge, with plush seating where you can unwind beside the crackling open fire and plan your next activity. The well-equipped kitchen invites culinary enthusiasts to craft delicious meals, while the adjacent dining room provides a sociable setting for shared meals. A luxurious family bathroom with a roll-top bath and separate shower completes the ground floor. Upstairs, three beautifully appointed bedrooms await, including king-size, twin, and a bunk room with child size beds, each finished in soothing neutral tones, promising a restful night's sleep. Adding to the cottage's charm is the garden cabin, aptly named 'The Shed'. Offering spectacular views across the marshes and out to sea and an al fresco dining area, this quiet retreat is the perfect spot to relax and unwind at any time of day. Guests can access the grassy pathway in front of The Shed for leisurely walks to the marshes and the coastal path.

Nearby, local fishermen cultivate mussels and oysters in the harbour, while a popular sailing club with a sailing school encourages you to hit the water. Opposite the cottage, a handy fishmonger allows you to purchase fresh catch, including the famous Brancaster Mussels. A stroll along the coast leads to Brancaster Beach (1.5 miles), boasting a vast expanse of golden sand perfect for beach games or exhilarating kitesurfing. A short drive away lies Wells-next-the-Sea (8 miles), a beloved coastal gem with its picturesque harbour, vibrant beach huts, and an array of local pubs, restaurants, and boutique shops. Birdwatching enthusiasts will delight in exploring the nearby nature reserves of Titchwell, Holme Dunes, and Blakeney, all within 15 miles of home.
