With a traditional country pub just a few hundred metres away, guests here are poised for easy evenings on the nights you don’t fancy cooking. Nearby Grange-over-Sands (2 miles) has plenty to offer, from the delicious Higginsons of Grange butchers to the delightful promenade and beach. The renowned village of Cartmel (4 miles) is home to a racecourse and offers delightful tearooms, award-winning restaurants, and its very own sticky toffee pudding. The towns of Windermere and Ulverston (both within 13.5 miles) are also within easy reach whether by bus, train or car.

Welcoming you into this delightful home is the main lounge with its beautiful artwork and elegant seating. Cooler evenings can be spent in front of the flame-effect electric fire watching a family favourite on the Smart TV. The chefs of the group are welcome to make use of the well-appointed kitchen, which boasts everything needed for a self-catered stay, while the rest of the group can gather around the dining table – enjoying the warmth of the underfloor heating. After a day of adventure, there is a convenient utility room where you can store boots and coats or quickly wash walking gear. Upstairs on the first floor are three beautifully decorated bedrooms, perfectly organised for relaxing after a busy day. Choose from a super-king-size room with an en-suite shower room and zip-and-link beds that convert to twins on request, a king-size bedroom, and a cosy twin room – all with high ceilings and stylish decor. Serving the bedrooms is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside, the secluded courtyard garden offers the perfect spot to soak up the Lake District’s fresh air and tranquillity.
