About this house rental

Three gorgeous double bedrooms - all en-suite:
Imagine relaxing in a spacious garden room with a Morso wood-burning stove and large windows, admiring the breathtaking 270-degree views across the Cartmel Valley to the Coniston, Fairfield, Helvellyn, and Cartmel Fells. Nothing but the sounds of birdsong from the surrounding mature gardens and the Church bells sounding on a Sunday morning—it is truly wonderful!

Pembroke Cottage must be a top choice when booking a Cartmel holiday cottage. It has three double bedrooms—all en-suite—a new Shaker kitchen with all the modern appliances, a fabulous lounge with comfy sofa seating and a large Smart TV, a dining area seating six to eight guests, and a boot/mud room with a large stainless-steel sink, perfect for washing off muddy pooches after a day out exploring the area.

The extensive mature gardens extend to almost half an acre and are not overlooked, offering a private, secure space for children and dogs. For sunnier days, the southwest-facing patio, with direct access via French doors to the kitchen and a dining set for six people, is perfect for alfresco dining or perhaps a few drinks while watching the sunset.

Pembroke Cottage is positioned on the slopes of Hampsfell, less than a 10-minute walk from the centre of Cartmel Village, making it ideal for visitors to Cartmel Racecourse and the South Lakes, with Coniston, Ulverston, Kendal, and Grange all within easy reach.

Returning visitors to Cartmel will know that, as wonderful as it is, off-street parking is scarce, with visitors having to park at the racecourse. Worry not; Pembroke Cottage has private parking for up to four cars in the driveway.

We highly recommend Pembroke Cottage when booking a holiday home in Cartmel.

THINGS TO NOTE
Pembroke Cottage welcomes a maximum of six adults or four adults and two children, as well as two dogs.
While the property has been beautifully refurbished throughout, it wasn't specifically designed with young children in mind, and we suggest the garden isn't suitable for them due to the uneven levels.
By default, the zip-and-link beds in the Blue and Yellow bedrooms are made into doubles. Please let us know when booking if you would like either of them to be split into single beds.
Stag, hen or similar events or parties are not permitted.
Private parking for 3-4 cars with EV charger, courtesy dusk-till-dawn lighting for late arrivals and security, and perimeter lighting around the house and patio.
Google Nest thermostat heating.
One external security camera to main gates – no impact on guest privacy.
A travel cot and a high chair are available upon request, but a stair gate is not provided.
The house has been recently refurbished, refitted, and decorated to a high standard. A professional fire risk assessment has been undertaken, and all recommended actions have been completed.
