About this cottage rental
Kick off your walking shoes in the utility/boot room that welcomes you into this traditional home-away-from-home, before retiring to the lovely en-suite king-size bedroom opposite to rest at the end of a busy day exploring the local trails. Upstairs, a charming lounge awaits, with a Smart TV, sofa, chair with footstool and a small table with two chairs. Back down these stairs is a spacious kitchen, which boasts charming farmhouse-style decor and stunning views of Blencathra, to rustle up something delicious. The adjoining snug/library is the perfect quiet spot to catch up on a good book, whilst the picturesque views of the Pennine hills framed in the lovely sunroom will inspire you to get out and explore. The beamed lounge and separate traditional dining room make up the oldest, originally medieval, part of the farmhouse, full of character that sets the tone for relaxation; a wood burner in each of these rooms adds warmth and charm. Upstairs you’ll also find three bedrooms, a super-king-size with Jack-and-Jill en-suite shower room, a king-size with lovely views over the garden and countryside beyond, and a cosy single benefiting from panoramic views of the Pennines. A luxurious family bathroom completes this floor, where you can take a soothing soak in the delightful roll-top bath overlooking the gardens.
Sip your morning coffee at sunrise or a glass of something chilled at sunset as you enjoy a spot of al fresco dining from the comfort of the quaint patio area in the large, enclosed lawned garden, which also boasts a lovely summerhouse and far-reaching views towards the Pennine hills. Secure bike storage and a table tennis table can be found in the garage. Outside, you’ll also find private parking for four cars.
