Tucked away in the peaceful hamlet of Twyford, this sleek barn conversion is the perfect retreat for couples or solo travellers seeking tranquillity and countryside charm. Step outside and you’ll find acres of farmland, quiet lanes, and scenic footpaths ready to ramble at your own pace. Cycling enthusiasts can take gentle rides along the country lanes or challenge themselves with trails in the nearby Forest of Dean. The River Wye is also close by, offering opportunities for fishing, leisurely walks along the banks, or even a spot of canoeing for a touch of adventure. For a dash of culture, the area is dotted with delightful market towns brimming with character. Hay-on-Wye, Monmouth, Ross-on-Wye, and Leominster are all within 23 miles, each boasting independent shops, local produce markets, and a welcoming atmosphere for a leisurely day out.
Inside, discover a chic, contemporary space designed for unwinding in comfort. The ground floor opens into a bright, vaulted living area, where natural light floods in through bi-folding doors, framing views of the courtyard and the surrounding countryside. Curl up in front of the wood burner with a good film, or share a meal around the dining table. The compact yet well-equipped kitchen includes everything you need for a self-catering stay. A staircase within the living area leads to a spacious king-size bedroom on the upper level, complete with an elegant glass balcony overlooking the ground floor. The ground floor also features a gleaming shower room with a rainfall shower. There is the use of a washing machine available in a separate shared area with owners.
Outside, an open aspect patio with a table and chairs invites you to enjoy al fresco meals or a morning coffee while taking in the open views of the fields with horses sometimes grazing in the fields. Roam the acres of farmland surrounding the property, or unwind in the hot tub under the stars. There’s ample off-road parking for two cars in the shared courtyard and secure bike storage is also provided, making it easy to come and go.
