Keen golfers can take on the famous Royal St George’s Golf Club (1.5 miles), while avid walkers can follow the trails through Pegwell Bay Country Park (3 miles) and watch curlews, oystercatchers, and Brent geese swoop over the salt marshes. Deal (6 miles) is packed with charm, from its Georgian seafront lined with pubs to its links with Charles Dickens.
