Moffat is a charming historic town nestled amid scenic hills of Dumfries and Galloway. Known for its Victorian architecture and warm hospitality, Moffat is a popular destination for visitors seeking natural beauty and relaxation. One of Moffat’s main attractions is Grey Mare’s Tail, one of the UK’s highest waterfalls plunging 60 metres leading to Loch Skeen with nature reserve, ideal for hiking and wildlife spotting. The town is also home to the Moffat Museum, which offers a fascinating glimpse into local history, and the Moffat Woollen Mill. With its picturesque streets, cosy cafes, quality restaurant’s, monthly farmer's markets, friendly Inns, quirky shop’s and stunning countryside, Moffat offers a perfect blend of culture, history, and outdoor adventure. Moffat is also recognised as a Dark Sky location, wonderful place to admire the stars. Other attractions close by are the Devil’s Beef Tub (5miles) and the splendid St Mary Loch, perfect for water sports enthusiasts (17miles)
Leading directly off Moffat’s beautiful high street though a large stone archway step inside this period property into the hallway perfect spot to store your outdoor clothing and continue up the flight of stairs. Venture through to the light and bright lounge with wonderful views over the town. After a day out exploring the splendid town on foot relax on the comfortable sofas and watch a movie on the Smart TV, pick out a DVD or listen to your music on the blue tooth speaker and on those cooler evening’s switch on the electric wood burner. There is also a comfortable dining area in the lounge for romantic or family gathering.
