Enjoy exploring Newport’s streets, diving into museums and galleries along the way, including a trip to Newport Cathedral to soak up the local history and culture. Venture out from the city centre to embrace the surrounding countryside, starting with the peaceful waterside trails around the Fourteen Locks Canal Centre (3 miles). Enjoy a quiet day with a visit to the National Trust’s historic Tredegar House (3.5 miles) or take the kids to Cefn Mably Farm Park (7 miles) and Walnut Tree Farm Park (5 miles) for days they shan’t forget.
