The wide, sandy beach of Beadnell Bay is less than 1 mile from your holiday hideaway, while Seahouses, with its golden stretches, is just 3 miles. From Seahouses, you can stroll 3 miles along the coast to Bamburgh, with its dramatic castle and gardens. Book boat trips out to the beautiful Farne Islands, and spot grey seals from the harbour here. Beadnell itself has a pub, shop and village store. Head into Alnwick (13 miles) for a wider selection of shops and eateries, as well as a visit to its imposing castle. The ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle (8.5 miles) are also worth seeing. For more outdoor adventures, venture 23 miles to follow the fascinating footpaths through the picturesque Northumberland National Park.
