About this house rental

This lovingly renovated single storey brick barn was built in the 1920s and was used to rear cattle. The original beams remain and are a stunning feature in this light and bright, tastefully furnished barn. The spacious sitting room has plenty of comfortable seating and a modern wood burning stove, perfect for cosying up in front of after a blustery walk along the nearby coastal path. There’s plenty of space to whip up a culinary delight and dine with your friends or family in the open plan, well-equipped, kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher before dining together at the table and chairs which benefits from the late afternoon sun. When you are ready for some bed, choose from one of the two bedrooms. The first of which is a king-size with en-suite shower room and doors leading out to the front lawn. The second is a twin room, which can be converted into a super-king if required, and French patio doors. A stylish bathroom with shower over the bath completes the interior of the accommodation. Outside are two gardens. At the front, a large lawn with seating where you can enjoy a coffee in the morning sun. To the rear of the barn is a fully enclosed patio with table and chairs for four, great for dining alfresco. Direct access onto footpaths leading into the surrounding countryside is also provided.

East Ruston village sits between the east coast and the Broads National Park. The village is home to the celebrated East Ruston Vicarage Gardens with its huge variety of planting and excellent tea shop. The village has beautiful surrounding countryside with quiet lanes which are ideal for walking and cycling. There are footpaths leading directly from the barn for long walks (or short!) and the Norfolk Coast Path and 100-mile Norfolk Coast Cycleway are very close by. The capital of the Broads – Wroxham is 5 miles away and Stalham Staithe is 3 miles; hire a day boat or walk along the banks looking out for the many species of birds. You’re in the perfect spot for visiting the local beaches too. The nearest are Happisburgh (3 miles), Waxham and Sea Palling (both 7 miles), all of which are dog friendly. A visit to nearby Horsey (11 miles) to see the seals is something you should definitely make time for.
