It provides a great base for families and small groups who want to experience the best of Herefordshire’s market towns and natural landscapes.

A charming, cobbled path leads to this delightful cottage, opening into a south-facing, walled garden – a true ‘secret’ oasis. Inside, this exquisite property exudes comfort and period character. The welcoming lounge, with its elegant palette and open Victorian fireplace, invites you to relax on plush sofas or gather for games and TV. When tummies start to rumble, head to the spacious kitchen/diner, which features a farmhouse-style dining table and all the essentials for home cooking. Upstairs, take your pick from two doubles or a single bedroom, each with colourful period style. The landing boasts a peaceful space for reading or working with views over the gardens, and there’s a family bathroom upstairs, along with a second WC on the ground floor. Make the most of the fresh country air, sipping a morning cuppa or evening drink in the covered outdoor space, or perch on a low wall or bench in the stone-paved garden. There’s space for storing bikes, with parking available in a nearby public car park (50 metres).

When you can tear yourself away from Ledbury’s charms, there’s plenty to discover in the surrounding area. Eastnor Castle (2.5 miles) delights with its grounds, lake, arboretum, adventure playground and deer park. Discover local cider at Weston’s Cider Mill (5 miles) or venture to the Wye Valley (8.5 miles) for outdoors activities, including walking, cycling and canoeing.
