About this cottage rental
Beautifully presented throughout, this deceptively spacious three-bedroom flint and brick cottage is nestled in the popular and rural village of Bodham. The cottage is situated on the North Norfolk coast, within 100 metres of the village pub, just over 1 mile from Sheringham Park and 3.5 miles from Kelling Heath. This cottage offers an ideal bolthole for families or couples looking for a getaway to North Norfolk.
On the ground floor, the generous accommodation comprises lots of sociable spaces. The modern and well-equipped kitchen has plenty of mod cons as well as generous worktop and cupboard space. There’s also a door to the garden here. The cosy sitting room is a dual-aspect space and features comfortable seating, a wood burner and a Smart TV. There are double doors leading from here to the conservatory, a light and airy double-glazed room with an oak dining table and chairs for six. It’s the ideal spot to make memories over a home-cooked meal. Finishing off the ground floor is a handy WC. Upstairs, the three equally sized rooms are beautifully furnished to provide the perfect space to recharge those batteries after a day exploring this lovely area. There is a king-size bedroom, a double room and a twin room. The first floor is complete with a family bathroom. Nothing quite beats finishing the day off with an al fresco meal or watching the sun goes down and this cottage offers just the garden to do so in. Equipped with outside dining furniture and a charcoal BBQ, everything has been thought of here – there is even a shower attachment on the outdoor tap so you can wash off the dog after a sandy walk at the beach!
If you’re looking to explore the local area, then a short drive will bring you to Weybourne Beach (2.5 miles) and Sheringham (4 miles). The property is also just 7 miles to Cromer or 7.5 miles to Blakeney. Nearby is the North Norfolk Steam Railway which runs from the elegant Georgian town of Holt (4 miles away) to Sheringham; steam whistles can sometimes be heard from the garden. Beautiful walks await; from the cottage, you can walk to Weybourne via Kelling Heath and pick up the Norfolk Coast Path. The 15th-century Baconsthorpe Castle (3.5 miles) lies in the other direction and offers the chance for another delightful walk. If you enjoy a spot of golf, then two prestigious golf courses await nearby, Sheringham and Cromer.
