About this cabin rental
Tuin van Keet - 18 is a cabin for four people in Oud Ade. The interior feels light and peaceful thanks to the large windows and the sliding door, which leads directly onto the decking with a picnic table. The Tiny House is situated in the small-scale park De Tuin van Keet, which is currently still under construction, in a green and water-rich part of the Randstad.
The Space:
Please note that Tuin van Keet is a newly developed park. The park is largely completed and already offers a wonderful place to relax, surrounded by nature. As all greenery has been recently planted, the park will continue to become even greener, fuller, and more beautiful over time.
During your stay, feel free to enjoy the park’s shared facilities, including the communal space, natural playground, panna field, fire pit, BBQ area, vegetable garden, and picking garden. This way, you can fully experience the outdoor lifestyle and relaxed atmosphere of Tuin van Keet.
Guest Access:
Park in the rear of the park in spaces numbered 9 to 40, next to the cottage number. There are also visitor parking spaces at the rear of the park, near the woods. The spaces next to the homes are for loading and unloading only. You can store bikes at the accommodation. Pets are not allowed. For all arrival and access details, such as the key safe, check the Boarding Pass.
The Neighborhood:
You’ll be staying in Oud Ade, a village in South Holland within the municipality of Kaag en Braassem. It’s a water-rich region with lakes, canals and polders. From here, you can take to the water at the Kagerplassen or the Braassemermeer, ideal for sailing, stand-up paddleboarding or a trip in a sloop. Prefer to stay on dry land? Then walk or cycle along quiet dykes and polder roads towards Warmond and Kaageiland. Katwijk beach is a 20-minute drive away.
Places worth visiting include Leiden with its historic centre, around 8 km away. Warmond is approximately 4 km away, Kaageiland 6 km and Roelofarendsveen about 7 km.
Other Things to Note:
Hop in a sloop at Rent a Boat Kaag on Kaageiland and cruise the Kagerplassen. Pull in for lunch at Restaurant Tante Kee, right on the water.
Plan a morning in Leiden: on Saturdays, browse the market on the Nieuwe Rijn for fresh cheeses and fruit. Then head to Naturalis to see T. rex Trix.
Fancy something local for later in the day? Drive to Palingrokerij Eveleens in Roelofarendsveen and pick up freshly smoked eel or mackerel for drinks by the water.
