We have really enjoyed our stay in this ryokan. Staff were super helpful and considerate. We arrived late at night. There was someone waiting there to greet us, then showed us their onsen which was a heavenly experience after a long day. The bedroom is spacious and sealed with separate air conditioning, perfect for the hot July weather. There are extra bedding and pillows in the closet. There were balcony furnitures for relaxation. The whole place is calm and gracious… The next morning we were offered simple breakfast and coffee. Upon checking out, we asked about the snow monkey park. To our surprise, they actually offer free shuttle service to the park entrance. We then met at the agreed time after a couple of hours and returned to the hotel where we stored our luggage. Even though that they offer free shuttle service, we insisted on paying for their time and gas etc, then they kindly offered to drive us to the train station! The kindness and typical subtle Japanese style services left us nothing but warm memories. We love the little town and the people living there. So far we’ve visited more than a dozen hotels in Japan, this one is very unique and gave us a profound Japan experiences. My teenage boy has given it the highest rating in our own record 👍! We still have a week long to explore Japan, so we really look forward to more of this kind of adventure.
