Location wise it was perfect and right at Lake Takepo. Kitchen facilities were good. Sharing bathrooms were neatly maintained. Room was bit small but we only stayed for a night. Good accomodation for staying couple of nights
7.2 / 10Good·Sep 2026
We booked accommodation for family of 4, just for one night, arriving late after driving from Christchurch to Queenstown. The listing on Agoda was misleading — I expected a cabin, but it turned out to be a cramped room with two single beds and a bunk bed. With our luggage inside, moving around was quite difficult, due to the limited space. The reception was located far away, and at night it was difficult to find both the car park and our room since only a pamphlet with instructions was provided. During winter evenings, the area gets very dark, which made things even harder. Thankfully, we stayed only one night, as the place was not suitable for us.

Location near to center. Can walking distance to lake. Supportive staff. Able to assist anything guest request and query

This accommodation is ok if you're young, it was very noisy with lots of people stamping past your cabin, shouting and slamming doors until 2 am
