I've returned to stay at Barcelona & Me for a second year as a solo traveler for its convenience to metro stop (purple L2 and blue L5) 3 blocks away located in front of Familia Sagrada. There is access to an elevator separate to the staircase. The hostal is a smaller facility, staff is friendly. I like the 4-bed female room with 2 bunk beds. Each bed has curtain for privacy and reading lights/plug in outlet. The personal lockers are located in the room. The facilities seemed cleaner and tidier this time around, but I understand this depends on the travelers who are staying there at the time. I was there in mid-October, past high season. The previous time I stayed in May and seemed busier. Regardless it showed that the staff was keeping up. Two downsides are 1) that shower stalls are confining. I am 5'4", my elbows kept bumping the handle controlling the water causing sporadic temperature changes or even shutting it off at times; and 2) It was hard to change in the room or re-pack my bags when staying on an upper bed. There was no workable space such as a chair or table. I did not want to spread out my stuff on the floor. I was happy with my stay and would recommend it for single travelers.

Location is about 3-5mins walk to Sagrada Familia and Train station, restaurant /bar / supermarket nearby ..
