About this cottage rental
Set opposite the village green with an amazing backdrop of rolling fields, this quintessentially Yorkshire cottage invites guests to experience a slower pace of life and get to know the surrounding national park. The property is a warm and welcoming home-from-home for six guests, making it an ideal base for family escapes. You can bring dogs along to stay here too, and there’s a never-ending array of beautiful walking routes, enviable cycle pathways, and stunning sights to be discovered nearby. Explore Lower Wensleydale’s incredible waterfalls, tumbling becks, and beautiful riverbanks, all before returning home to put your feet up and truly unwind in front of the property’s warming wood burner.
Decorated in neutral shades that complement the original beams and exposed stonework, this house offers a delightful blend of homely sophistication and original cottage features. Leave boots and shoes in the utility room before making yourself comfortable, choosing to unwind in the lounge with comfortable seating, a wood burner, and a Smart TV. There’s a desk set in one corner for those who need to work during their holiday, and a dining room and kitchen are just off the lounge. Upstairs, two bright, inviting bedrooms are made up as a king-size (one with an en-suite bathroom), and there’s a final twin room. The family bathroom completes this floor. Outside, a tranquil terraced garden is enclosed, boasting furniture, a BBQ, and your very own hot tub. There is private off-road parking for two cars.
You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to beauty spots close by. Some Yorkshire Dales highlights include Aysgarth Falls (2 miles), the wonderful River Ure (2 miles), Semer Water (9 miles), and Great Whernside (16 miles). However, you can just wander in any direction and stumble across a magnificent sight. Visit the wonderful market town of Hawes (11 miles) for a day out, exploring the Wensleydale Creamery and the Dales Countryside Museum to learn about the area’s history.
