The Space:
Think of this as your soft landing in Puerto Rico. Eight minutes after you leave the terminal, you can be parked on a quiet residential street in Castellana Gardens, punching in your door code and dropping your bags.
Rest first. The bedroom holds a queen bed with fresh white linens, room-darkening shades and its own split A/C, plus a wall-mounted TV for winding down after a long travel day. Traveling as three? The loveseat in the living room pulls out into a sofa bed.
Then refuel. A compact kitchenette covers the basics — full-size fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, pots, plates and utensils — and we leave local coffee, bottled water and a snack for each guest so the first morning is easy.
Need to get some work done? A small table for two sits under the ceiling fan, with fast Wi-Fi for calls and email. The bathroom has a walk-in shower stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
The whole apartment is about 46 m² (495 sq ft): small, simple and easy to keep tidy, whether you stay a single night or a few weeks.
A few honest notes: there's no washer inside (a laundromat is close by), and four-legged guests are welcome for an extra fee.

Entry is contactless: a keypad code and step-by-step arrival notes reach you before your trip. Parking is free on the street in front of the building, first come, first served.

Castellana Gardens is everyday Carolina: tree-lined residential streets, local bakeries and grocery runs, and quiet nights. It suits travelers who'd rather sleep well near the airport than stay in the middle of the tourist strip, with the beach and the old city still an easy drive away.
- Julia de Burgos Park: green space for a morning walk, with or without your dog, a few minutes from the door
- Isla Verde: sand, surf and beachfront bars, roughly 10 minutes by car
- Old San Juan: pastel streets, El Morro and Paseo de la Princesa, around 25 minutes by car
Where to eat close by:
- Restaurante Castellana, for home-style criollo plates in the neighborhood
- Plaza del Marisco, for fresh seafood a quick drive away
- El Fogón de Eduard, a relaxed local spot that works well for families
Getting Around:
SJU sits about 8 minutes away, so an early departure doesn't have to start before dawn.
- Rental car: the most flexible option, and parking on the street is free
- Rideshare: Uber and Lyft cars are usually only a few minutes out
- Taxis: lined up at the airport terminals
- Buses: AMA public routes serve Carolina
From here, Isla Verde is about a 10-minute drive and Old San Juan about 25.

- Electricity Management: Due to the energy situation in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria, power outages can occur from time to time. This property does not have a backup generator. During an outage, we recommend keeping devices charged in advance and being mindful of perishable food.
- Water Supply: This property does not have a backup water tank. In the event of a water service interruption, we recommend using water sparingly until service is restored.
- Extended Outages: If an outage lasts more than 3 hours and you choose to stay, you may request a refund for the affected nights. If you'd prefer to cancel the remainder of your stay, you may request a refund for the unused nights.
- Hurricane & Storm Policy: We want your stay to be safe, but weather is out of our control. No refunds are issued for weather-related cancellations; however, in the event of a storm, we're happy to help you reschedule, subject to calendar availability.
